I will have a look about - sorry about the long time to respond to this. Unfortunately, I won&#039;t have access to the machine this was done on for a while, and also there&#039;s the issue that it was written for a version of the API that is years old, so there may be issues.

It&#039;s actually quite easy - on a Windows machine - to use the API - you&#039;ll have to look at some Windows Python API bridges which are well understood and documented. On the Mac I&#039;m not sure, it may be easy to do using Applescript.</description>

I&#039;m looking at doing something similar, specifically a module that allows you to rename mp3 files without breaking iTunes&#039; library.
